"Tomorrow When the War Began"... for Year 12s

"Tomorrow When the War Began" is a series of novels written by John Marsden, a kinda famous writer for his talents in Teenager's Fiction.
However, that has nothing to do with this post (since this is NOT a book review) except the title.

Tomorrow, for most of us year 12s, our war will begins. The war against VCAA (Victorian Education something something), in other words ... exams period commence.

These next few weeks will utterly determine what course I'll get into next year, what job I'll get, and whether my parents will congratulate and buy me presents or ... kick me out of the house.

I don't know how well I'll be able to work and sit exams in these few weeks. However, this post is to mark the beginning of my Uni life but also the end of my highschool life.

I don't know which is better, but one thing for certain, i've enjoyed my time at Geelong Grammar very much, i've made great friends and i've given school my best shot.

I don't know whether i'll be able to see all of my friends in the future but i'll definitely try.

Goodluck with exams everyone!!!

Now ... back to work.

My Book Review #1

From now on, every 2 months, i'll be doing a book review on any sort of book that i've read and liked so stay tuned.

This week is Off the Cuff link (A book i bought quite a while ago but haven't got time to write a review on it)
It is written by Carson Kressley (Queer Eye for a Straight Guy) as a how-to guide to dress better for men and the women who love them. It is packed with humour, fashion tips, quotes or references from movies and movie stars and of course gay jokes.

This is one of Carson's many attempt at trying to be funny.

"Doesn't make you gay:
  • Moisturizing
  • Using "product" on you hair
  • Getting highlights in your hair
  • Getting MANicures
  • Waxing your eyebrows
  • Having facial hair
Makes you gay:
  • Taking an all-male cruise to Latin America
  • Wearing Wigs
  • Giving other people highlights (Rui and I did that, but we're not gay, so obviously he's wrong on this one.)
  • Getting French manicures
  • Pluchking them to "open up your eye"
  • Getting a little too "excited" during Wrestlemania"
Yeah i know, he's not funny because he's gay but hey, there're useful tips like:
"Polo knit shirts are comfortable classica standbys. Have one in black, white and a few fun colors and you'll never go wrong. It's breathable, cool, sexy and sophisticated."

"Low-slung jeans worn gangsta style make you look like you have a load in your pants. Let's leave that to our friends in the rap community, shall we?"

"Nothing makes you feel as good, important and powerful: and nothing makes a guy look more HANDSOME that a good suit."

i've got a SAT test tomorrow!

I'm not ready. I'll get owned tomorrow.
Maths, ill get like 500/800, Writting 500/800 and Essay 400/800. So that's 1400!! YaY, that's what i'm aiming for anyway. Actually a little bit higher.
Wish me luck people!!!
